It is often said that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. But I’m figuring whoever said the Dodge Dart was a beautiful thing had to be blind. Although she was rarely accused of being easy on the eyes, the 1962 Max Wedge Dodge Dart sure moved beautifully.
“Max” referred to maximum performance label used in factory advertising. While “Wedge” referred to its wedge shaped combustion chambers. Boasting 413 cubic inches and 420 horses, she could go from zero to sixty in just 5.8 seconds. Proving the old adage, “looks ain’t everything.”
