The 2010 CAMARO SS
GM’s 1967 Camaro was hardly an original. It was a blatant rip-off of the Ford Mustang. It being a stolen idea didn’t necessarily make it a bad idea. Although this scheme would birth part of what would later become known as the CAR WAR years between the big-3 automakers and their quest to reign supreme.
The Camaro had a run of thirty-five years before a short hiatus. But now the Camaro is back! Now I’m no Chevrolet man, make no mistake about it. But I must admit that the 2010 effort of the Camaro will even get a preacher to turn his head.
GM’s tasty effort comes in 3-flavors, but the SS is then only version to boast American Muscle. The auto-equipped SS employs a detuned version of the pushrod V8, good for 400 hp; the SS with manual gets the LS3 and all 422 snot-flinging horsies. And all versions come standard with limited slip differential.
I doubt however that I will ever own a 2010 camaro or any other year or model of the GM for that matter. Afterall, it would go against my religion. But my big brother has yet to come to repentance. So do keep him your prayers, as I suspect you will see him in one of these very soon…
